Integration with the mechanical side
Automation designed together with the machine's mechanics: interfaces, actuation, safety and testing defined from the start, not bolted on later.
Most plant problems arise at the boundary between mechanics, electrical and software. With this service, automation is designed together with the machine’s mechanics — whether it comes from Dal Ben S.p.A. or from the client — instead of being added once the steel is already built.
What the service includes
- Joint analysis of kinematics, actuation and sensing with the mechanical design
- Definition of electromechanical interfaces: choice of motors, cylinders, limit switches, encoders and measurement points
- Panel layout and cable routing on the machine, coordinated with the mechanical envelope
- Safety requirements built into the design, not applied afterwards
- A single FAT/SAT across mechanics, electrical and control, with one owner
Why it matters
When mechanics and automation come from the same design, supplier hand-offs disappear and commissioning gets shorter: the client has one point of contact from the schematic sheet to acceptance.
