Functional safety
Risk analysis and safety function design according to EN ISO 13849 and IEC 62061, from PL/SIL calculation to final validation.
We design machine safety functions from risk assessment to final validation, according to the EN ISO 13849-1/2 and IEC 62061 standards. Every safety circuit (emergency stop, interlocks, guarded areas, speed monitoring) is calculated and documented with the Performance Level (PL) or SIL required by the application.
What the service includes
- Risk assessment according to EN ISO 12100
- Required Performance Level (PLr) calculation and verification of the achieved PL
- Design of hardwired safety circuits and safety-PLC platforms (e.g. TwinSAFE, Siemens F-CPU)
- Technical file and declaration of conformity for CE marking purposes
- Functional validation of the implemented safety measures
